DIVERSITY DATA
Global Business Mobility Scheme
The SRA requires all regulated firms collect, report, and publish data about the diversity make-up of their workforce. Lawsmith Solicitors have done so by reporting our diversity data to the Solicitors Regulation Authority by the given deadline of 23rd July 2023.
We have collected the correct data using the SRA’s newly produced Diversity Questionnaire.
This differs from the form produced in 2017, as it has had minor changes in relation to the inclusion to trans, sexual orientation, schooling, and parental education questions.
Per Principle 9 in the Handbook and Chapter 2 of the Code of Conduct, the SRA regard the reporting of diversity data to be a regulatory duty. The forthcoming Standards and Regulations, which came into force in November 2019 have made it a regulatory requirement.
We have encouraged our staff to complete the questionnaire and everyone working is covered by the firm diversity data collection, not just our solicitors.
Of those who completed the survey:
-
1 is the Full Equity Solicitor Partner
-
2 are solicitors (not partners)
-
1 is an individual whose role is to directly support fee earners.
