At Lawsmith Solicitors, we will provide high quality service with tight controlled price regime through a transparent cost estimate. The firm offers a professional service with reasonable and competitive fees and flexible payment options (hourly or fixed fees) available to all our clients.
We are happy to accept half of the agreed fixed fees at the time of initial instructions and the balance can be made in the next 4 weeks.
Making payments:
We accept account transfer, card payment, payment by link and cash payment up to a set limit.
You will be informed at the outset who will be dealing with the matter for you and their current charging rate. We will also explain your total disbursement and VAT (if any).
IMMIGRATION APPLICATIONS EXCLUDING ASYLUM
Lawsmith Solicitors is a firm of Solicitors specialising in Immigration Advice and Assistance. We are able to offer advice and assistance on all aspects of UK Immigration and Nationality Law.
We have set out below the service and pricing information in relation to typical applications we deal with. If there is a particular service, you require which is not set out below then please contact us to see if we can assist and to obtain a tailored quote.
If you wish to have an initial consultation our charge is £75.00 + VAT.
VAT is applicable if the application relates to ILR/Settlement application, Naturalisation application, EEA/ECAA application and Sponsorship Application under Tier 2,4 and 5; and if the client/ applicant is resident in the UK.
Where VAT is charged it is charged at the current rate of 20% where applicable.

DISBURSEMENTS
Disbursements are costs related to your matter that are payable to third parties, such as visa fees. We handle the payment of the disbursements on your behalf to ensure a smoother process. The likely disbursements are:
Interpreters’ fees at £15-£20 + VAT per hour. If applicable, this kind of application will normally require between 1-2 hours with an interpreter, depending on the complexity of your case.
Independent expert reports e.g., medical experts. These are not required in many cases: we will let you know as soon as possible if we consider an expert report is necessary.
If there is an interview and we do attend with you, there will be additional disbursements in respect of our mileage/travel expenses.
Entry clearance fee: for 6 months – £93 + VAT / 2 years – £350 + VAT / 5 years – £636 + VAT / 10 years – £798 + VAT.
WHAT Services ARE INCLUDED
The work will involve:
discussing your circumstances in detail and confirming whether this is the most appropriate application for you to make and what other options may be available to you;
giving you advice about the requirements of the Immigration Rules and whether you meet the criteria;
if you do not fulfil a certain criterion, whether this can be overcome and how.
considering the supporting evidence, you have provided;
where necessary, helping you obtain further evidence (such as medical records and bank statements), including taking statements of any witnesses;
preparing your application and submitting it on your behalf;
Attendance at a Home Office interview: if the Home Office ask you to attend an interview, we will give you clear advice at the appropriate time.
giving you advice about the outcome of the application and any further steps you need to take.
*THE COSTS QUOTED HERE DO NOT INCLUDE:
If your matter becomes overly complex and more work is required in order to prepare and submit an application. We will advise you if further work is required and the increase in our charges.
Where the Home Office refuse your application, advice and assistance in relation to any appeal.
OUR PROFESSIONAL FIXED FEES
As an SRA authorized firm, we are required to publish price information in relation to certain standard services we provide. Please note that the figures provided are indicative figures and do not reflect the complexity or nuances of an individual case. Each case is dealt with and decided on its own facts and circumstances, so please always contact us to discuss the facts of your case so that we will be able to assess the merits and give our fee quote. Our usual fee structure is to agree a fixed fee with you in order to carry out our professional services on your immigration application.

When we take instructions on an hourly rate basis, we will make you aware of the possible hours we will be spending and try to give you a full estimate before you instruct us.
