The Global Talent visa route is open for applicants from 20th February 2020. Your application for endorsement letter will be reviewed by an organisation that is related to your qualifying field, called an ‘endorsing body’ approved by the Secretary of state for the Home Department “Home Office”. I would like to know your qualifying field so that I can advise you accordingly. This application is for the talented individuals in the qualifying fields wishing to work in the UK. Applicants will be ‘leaders’ in their field as determined by the relevant endorsing body. Your stage 1 papers will be endorsed by the endorsing body under one of the sub-categories of the Global Talent route.

Two stage Application Process (Endorsement and Visa application)

Stage 1

assesses your skills, abilities and achievements and enables the Designated Competent Bodies to decide whether you should be endorsed in order to progress your application.

Stage 2

Once you successfully get endorsed by the relevant endorsing body, we will then submit your immigration application (Stage 2) for a Global Talent visa with following supporting documents and in stage two, the Home Office will consider immigration aspects of your application.

• Current valid Indian passport;

• Passport-sized photograph as per specified guidance;

• Endorsement letter from the designated endorsing body; and

• Tuberculosis test certificate from approved clinic

 

Validity:

You can choose the period of leave, in whole years, up to a maximum of 5 years you wish to be granted in a single application.

 

Time frame for endorsement

It usually takes between six and eight weeks in total from submission to make a decision on endorsement.

 

Visa application following endorsement

You will have 3 months period from the date of endorsement letter to make your application for entry clearance to the UK in the Global Talent category.

In addition to showing that you have been endorsed, the Home Office will assess your character and immigration history to ensure that you do not fall for refusal under the general grounds for refusal.

There is no maintenance of level of funds or English language requirement in the Global Talent visa category.

Leave will be granted for the period that you request (in full year periods) up to five years. The amount of time that you request makes no difference to the application but will affect the amount that you need to pay for the Immigration Health Surcharge.

As you will have been endorsed as ‘exceptionally talented’, rather than ‘exceptionally promising’, you may be eligible to settle after just three years in the UK. However, there are residence requirements for settlement so in the event that you will need to travel often, you may wish to apply for a period of longer than the three years needed.

There is a maximum time frame of 4 month for application consideration and please note that there are no Priority Service appointments available for this application.
